Our rendition of this classic piece features a total length of 12.5mm. The pendulum has been in use since as early as the 1st century in Han Dynasty China, as a seismometer to sense the tremors of an earthquake from afar. Throughout history, this design has been used by scientists from 10th century Egyptian astronomers to Leonardo Da Vinci of the Renaissance and Galileo, to measure various forms of motion in their experiments.
